FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I know if a Fat Transfer is right for me?
After you have had the opportunity to review the wealth of materials on our
website, we recommend you explore the available treatment options
further with us during a free consultation.
We can conduct your consultation in person, or by phone, fax, and/or
e-mail (a “virtual consultation”). During your consultation, we will
discuss your current situation, your goals and expectations, and
develop an individualized plan designed to achieve optimal results for
you. By the end of the consultation, we will develop a specific price
quote, and we can apply for any financing options that you may be
qualified for while you wait.
Who should consider a Fat Transfer?
Clients
who are seeking a more permanent alternative to fillers in the cheeks,
nasolabial folds or any where on the face that requires more volume.
Fat transfers are also available for clients seeking more volume to the
buttocks.
Do I have to get SmartLipo if I want a Fat Transfer?
No. Although most of our patients who get fat transfers also get SmartLipo,
we harvest the fat for the fat transfer before the SmartLipo procedure
begins, because the SmartLipo laser destroys the fat. We want the
transferred fat to be intact so that it will produce the desired
fullness. You will receive a significant discount on a fat transfer if
you are already have SmartLipo performed.
How much time does a Fat Transfer add to the SmartLipo procedure?
Depending on the area being treated, a fat transfer adds 30 minutes to two hours
to the total office time required for SmartLipo. SmartLipo patients
generally spend a total of two to five hours in the office from start
to finish for SmartLipo alone, depending on the area(s) being treated.
What is the downtime associated with a Fat Transfer?
Fat transfer patients generally will be sore for a short period. Those who
get a Brazilian Lift may have trouble sitting comfortably for a few
days. Physical activity should be limited for approximately two weeks.
Patients will need to some to the office every few days to check for
infection.
How soon can I expect to see results from a Fat Transfer?
Results are immediate. Approximately 30–70% of the transferred fat will be
absorbed back into the body over the two to three months following the
procedure, but we correct for this by adjusting the amount of fat
transferred. A touch-up procedure is occasionally appropriate six to
twelve months after the procedure for optimal results.
How long will the results last? The
fat that remains is generally permanent and will deflate at your normal
aging rate. We caution patients against weight loss immediately
following a procedure in order to preserve their results.
What is the cost of a Fat Transfer? The
cost of Fat Transfer will vary depending on the areas being treated and
the number of other procedures you are having performed (we offer
discounts for multiple procedures). The full price for Fat Transfer to
the face is $5,000 and $7,500 for a Brazilian Lift. Transfers to other
areas will vary.
What financing options are available? We
have several financing options available to accommodate a broad range
of incomes and credit histories. Qualified applicants may be eligible
to receive 0% financing, or to pay low monthly payments under one of
our extended plans (e.g., $166 / month for a $7,500 procedure). We
will discuss financing options during your free consultation, which you
can schedule by calling us directly at (910) 321-0079 or by clicking here.
